Magazines

Magazines form a significant part of the periodical publications that trace the development of Macedonian national thought through different historical periods. They are an important source for studying the history of the Macedonian people, especially in the fields of culture, tradition, literature and social processes.
Their content reveals the ideological, cultural and political aspirations of different generations of authors, intellectuals and activists, often in conditions of emigration or outside the territory of Macedonia.
Some of these magazines are incomplete, written in other languages and published outside Macedonia, which further increases their documentary and historical value.
As a whole, they constitute significant material for researching Macedonian cultural and social history and for understanding the processes of formation of the national identity.
